Ari Award
In November 2006 Ana Nance was awarded the photographer of the year award in Madrid, Spain by the official association of magazines, ARI.

The award was based upon a selection of 5 photographic stories published and submitted by the magazine Marie Claire. The most prominent story was of Spain´s President Zapatero´s trip to the 60th aniversary of the United Nations in New York City, September of 2005 published in Marie Claire November 2005. Photographs included Zapatero relaxing and casually conversing with his team in the presidencial airplane on the flight over from Spain. Portraits at the chrysler building, meeting with Condolezza Rice, Bill Clinton, King and Queen of Spain, King and Queen of Jordan among others.

The other stories presented included, a trip with the Queen of Spain to Chile, South America with 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammed Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank and President of the Microcredit System, to the international conference of the microcredit system. A documentary of Madrid´s County President, and another of the Minister of Culture.
